The alscan tool will read one or more web-server access log files, extract information from them and create a report which is written to standard output. The report is based upon the information from access logs and the options provided via the command-line. There are five report types, which type is generated is defined on the command-line. There are many options which can shape the information used in the report. These are described in detail below.
